Flexible Curriculum

a.  CTS is fully committed to working with individuals to take them where they are in their educational journey.

b. CTS has always understood that a student having prior educational development is not a pre-requisite for the call into the ministry.

c.  CTS works with students who have no prior educational training to help them move systematically through the academic process in a structured manner that is conducive to their previous education, or lack thereof, without sacrificing the quality of their theological training or CTS academic expectations and requirements.

A Passion for Exposition

a.  Three primary and critical focal areas of the student’s academic training are an exegetical focus, an expositional focus, and a homiletical focus.

b. CTS believes that rightly dividing the Word of Truth is essential for every Christian ministry and minister.

c. Expositors take many different shapes and forms and CTS is committed to the individual being himself. For instance the “Prince of Preachers” was an expositor who often spoke topically week after week from Scripture.

Flexible Education Opportunities

a.  CTS provides tailored programs for students of various academic backgrounds by providing enrollment into an appropriate degree program commensurate with the individual’s previous educational background.

b.  Even though the entry level of some students may not be one with educational experience, CTS is committed to helping all students through their academic challenges in order that they may become better equipped for the various areas of ministry into which they may be called.

c.  The various CTS educational paths allow the student to remain in their current ministry and employment locations without disruption.  The educational options are as follows:

Biblical Emphasis

a.  CTS provides a fully biblically based curriculum in all three major graduate and post-graduate degree programs (Bachelor, Master, and Doctoral), as well as the Institute level.

b. It is the conviction of CTS that a fully biblically based curriculum provides the most favorable academic path for equipping those called into various ministry settings.

c.  A CTS education provides a rigorous, demanding, and thorough study of God’s Word.

Pastoral Faculty

a.  The majority of classroom professors are pastors, retired pastors, former missionaries, and biblical scholars that bring their life experience directly into the teaching environment.

b.  CTS believes that a quality biblical education involves much more than a mere transfer of academic information, but also fully embraces the life experiences of those who have integrated Scripture into their lives and ministries.

c.  Faculty members are individuals who have modeled both godly character and academic achievement throughout their ministries.

d.  Faculty members are seasoned and degreed practitioners with years of experience in the church and other ministry settings.

a.  CTS is deeply committed to the core value of biblically training and equipping leaders throughout the world and accomplishes this through the CTS International School system and Impact Eternity.

b.  Educational opportunities for those students in second and third world countries are provided at no cost for the students except for the purchase of textbooks.

c.  All teaching and administrative costs are underwritten by the various professors and their American churches.

An Academic Commitment with Gospel Balance

a.  CTS is committed to high academic standards that help guarantee the proper certification of graduates to those investing in their present and future ministries.

b.  Classroom instruction and testing have a primary focus towards the development of writing skills.

c.  CTS believes that the more competent that individuals are in writing that the more articulate they will become in their communication competence, and thus more effective in their ministry opportunities.

Commitment to Accountability

a.      CTS is a member of the Accreditation Commission International (ACI).

b.  Accreditation by ACI provides accreditation through a fully recognized accreditation organization that helps schools that do not want to be impacted by governmental regulatory requirements.

c.  ACI is the world’s largest non-government accreditation service for biblical institutions.

d.  The benefit to the student is a significant reduction in the cost of their education.

e.  Earned credits from CTS are transferrable to most major theological institutions.  A listing of those institutions is available upon request.

Commitment to a Unified Theological Disposition

a.  The church and biblical academic institutions have always developed confessions of what they believe and stand for (Westminster Confession of Faith, the Nicene Creed, the Belgic Confession of Faith, the Augsburg Confession, etc.).

b.  Without a strong biblical statement of what an institution believes, it opens itself up for the teaching of false doctrines and ultimately a general assortment of theology.

c.  CTS provides its strong definition of belief to provide clarity to its overall purpose and direction.

d.  Truth and its accurate dissemination cannot flourish in an environment that does not properly define and demand doctrinal integrity.

Multi-denominational and Multi-ethnic

a.  CTS is a multi-denominational seminary that offers a biblical education to students of various denominational backgrounds, but without sacrificing doctrinal integrity in the process.

b. CTS believes that the Gospel (the finished work of Christ) obliterated any divides between ethnic groups just as it has the divide between Jews and Gentiles (Eph. 2:14-16).

c. While CTS is committed to these good perspectives, we will not sacrifice doctrinal integrity or the integrity of the gospel for their cause.
